Hey 👋🏻 — My name is Veronica Merege (b. 1990), a digital strategist and UX designer who's been shaping digital experiences for businesses for 15 years. At Google, I was all about real-time Figma prototyping in workshops, building future-state narratives packed with mockups, and co-piloting design thinking sessions with customers. These days, as a consultant, I describe my role as connecting the dots between design vision and tangible solutions, showcasing the 'art of the possible.'

My journey has been shaped by a strong foundation in strategy and planning within the vibrant world of advertising agencies. I've developed winning digital strategies for online campaigns, contributing to the success of beloved brands like Budweiser, Itaú, Waze, and Vivo – even helping agencies secure their first Gold Effie for strategic excellence. I've driven impactful work at top-tier agencies like Africa Creative, R/GA, and DDB Group, and have also leveraged the flexibility of independent consulting and freelancing to craft digital and social media strategies for agencies like Wunderman Thompson and DPZ.

Before joining the tech world, my design consultancy specialized in storytelling and presentation design for clients such as McDonald's, YouTube, and Google Cloud. It was this work that organically connected me with the brilliant cloud architects and engineers who eventually welcomed me to Google as a UX-focused Solution Engineer.

My academic background includes degrees in Social Communication ('13) and Screenwriting ('15), alongside a Master's in Consumer Behavior ('20), providing a diverse lens through which I approach challenges. I’m currently an independent researcher and a guest student in postgraduate classes at USP, while also preparing for a PhD candidacy in 2027.
